Root Down Digital

Privacy Policy

Last Revised: 23 July 2026

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to rootdowndigital.com (the “Site”) and to hardware sold under the Root Down Digital name. “Root Down Digital,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Root Down Digital.

The short version: this website is static and informational — it runs no forms, accounts, logins, analytics, advertising, or trackers, and collects nothing about you. Hardware sales happen on our Lectronz storefront, not on this Site. For those orders we keep only the minimum records tax law requires, send no unsolicited email, and rely on Lectronz and Stripe to handle checkout, payment, and invoicing. This Policy explains the details.

Information We Collect

None, through this Site. The Site has no contact forms, no sign-up, no comments, no shopping cart, and no user accounts — so there is no place for you to submit personal information to us here, and nowhere for us to store it. We do not operate analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioral tracking of any kind, and we set no first-party tracking cookies. Purchases are handled on our Lectronz storefront, which is covered separately in Store Purchases below.

Store Purchases (Lectronz & Stripe)

Root Down Digital hardware — including AntiHunter — is sold through our Lectronz storefront. Checkout, payment, and invoicing all happen on Lectronz and Stripe, not on this Site. Your order and payment records live in their systems, under their privacy policies:

Marketplace & invoicingLectronz Privacy Policy Payment processingStripe Privacy Policy

From a completed order, we receive only what we need to ship it: your name, shipping address, the items ordered, and an order number. We never receive or store your payment card details — those stay with Stripe.

The only thing we retain is the transaction and invoice data required to file accurate taxes, kept for the retention period the law requires and no longer than necessary. We keep no customer database, no mailing list, and no analytics on the store. We do not sell, rent, or share your information, and we send no unsolicited email — only direct replies about your own order or your own message.

Server Logs & Security (Our Host)

The Site is served by third-party hosting and security providers. As is standard for essentially every website on the internet, those providers may automatically record technical request data — such as an Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, and a date/time stamp — in their own server and security logs. This processing is performed by our providers to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and protect the Site against attacks.

We do not control the retention schedules of these provider-level logs, we do not mine them, and we do not use them to build profiles or to identify individual visitors except where strictly necessary to investigate a security incident or comply with the law. We hold no separate copy of this data ourselves.

Cookies

The Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie you may encounter is a strictly necessary security cookie set by our website firewall/CDN provider to verify that traffic is legitimate and to protect the Site. It carries no advertising purpose and is not used to track you across other websites.

How We Use Information

Because we do not collect personal information through the Site, we do not use it for marketing, profiling, or anything else. The limited order information we receive from a store purchase is used only to fulfil and support that order and to meet our tax and accounting obligations. We never sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Contacting Us by Email

The Site may list an email address so you can reach us. If you choose to email us, you are voluntarily sharing your email address (and whatever you put in your message). We use it solely to read and reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not use your message for marketing. Email you send travels through, and is stored by, our email provider under its own terms.

Links to Other Sites

The Site contains links to websites operated by third parties (for example, code repositories, social profiles, or our storefront). Following a link is a normal navigation to that third party — we do not transmit personal information to them on your behalf. Once you leave our Site, this Policy no longer applies, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Children

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, contact us at devteam@rootdowndigital.com and we will address it.

Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA & Others)

Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of it. We do not collect or retain personal information through this Site, and we never sell or share your information. For store orders, the limited records we keep are held only as long as tax and accounting law requires; you may contact us to exercise your rights, subject to those legal retention obligations. Order and payment data held by Lectronz or Stripe is also subject to your rights directly with them, under their policies linked above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

If you have a question or a request, email us at devteam@rootdowndigital.com. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK and believe your data has been mishandled, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

International Visitors

The Site can be reached worldwide and is hosted on infrastructure that may be located in, or accessible from, the United States and other countries. Store orders are processed by Lectronz and Stripe, which may process data internationally under their own safeguards. We ourselves hold no personal data beyond the minimal order records described above.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, our store, or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last Revised” date above. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
